Business
Volunteers for the Arts® (BVA)
The
Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is affiliated with the
Arts & Business Council of Americans for the Arts.
The first BVA program was launched in 1975 & is
now operated in 23 cities nationally.
Business Volunteers for the Arts® recruits and trains
business executives who provide free consulting to nonprofit
arts organizations in areas including marketing, finance,
non-profit technology, planning.

Volunteer
Lawyers for the Arts (VLA)
The
Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council Volunteer Lawyers for
the Arts program is affiliated with the Center for Volunteer
Legal Resources, a network of local providers of pro
bono legal assistance administered by the Allegheny
County Bar Foundation. VLA provides pro bono assistance
to lower-income individual artists and smaller arts
organizations for arts-related legal needs.

Technical
Assistance
The
Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council staff includes knowledgeable
arts managers who can also assist with a wide variety
of management and information needs, and provide referrals
to other sources of help.
