RAD Budget Includes $3 Million for Port Authority for One Year

Stone Reliefs in Downtown Alley Keep Art Sleuths Guessing

While the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation notes that the carvings were saved after the St. Patrick's Day flood from the previous building, no one is quite sure who the original artist was, why the carvings were saved or who exactly is depicted in the stone.

Pittsburgh Wants to Inject Art into its Urban Design Program

As the City of Pittsburgh begins its conprehensive master plan, PlanPGH, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl has budgeted $585,000 from the city and local foundations for the ArtPGH and DesignPGH components. The Office of Public Art and city planning joint ventures such as the East Liberty Pedestrian Bridge act as a model for the master plan's emphasis on art and design.
