Please join us in congratulating Christiane Leach, a longtime Pittsburgh artist and GPAC's Artist Relations Coordinator, who was recently nominated for a 2012 ATHENA Award.
These awards recognize women who demonstrate excellence in their profession, contribute to their community and help other women to succeed through mentorship. 
Christiane is an award-winning, multi-talented Pittsburgh artistic force who for 20 years has fused the visual, spoken, performance and visual arts in an unending compendium of sounds, forms, shapes and words that represent her unique worldview and experience of living in it.
GPAC is honored that Christiane chose to join our staff six years ago, and she continues to dedicate her energy to helping other Pittsburgh artists, while maintaining an active practice of her own. Her deep passion for others comes out in the countless hours she spends helping artists on the phone, in-person, and at their events all over the region. She is a tireless advocate for artists and their needs, and we wish her the best in this nomination!
The 2012 awards will be given by the Allegheny Conference on Community Development at the following luncheon:
