About
Our Public Forums
Members of
the region's cultural, corporate, civic and education sectors
generally work independently to build a vital economy with
a creative, competitive workforce. We host larger, public
forums that bring the sectors together around issues of shared
concern:
To
facilitate dialogue across sectors, fostering an environment
of cooperation and awareness where participants discover
ways to align their current efforts within the broader
context of one another's work.
To
present national cultural policy research findings and
orient the data to current trends in Southwestern Pennsylvania,
encouraging informed action.
To
solicit community input about needs and opportunities
that could be addressed through the programs, services,
collaborations or research initiatives by the Greater
Pittsburgh Arts Council and local partners.
By holding
public forums, the Arts Council helps to expand the reach,
influence and effectiveness of the region's diverse and
vibrant cultural community.
