Paul R. Stewart Museum

Found on Waynesburg University’s campus in the lower level of Miller Hall, the varied collections—ranging from local pottery to Native American artifacts—featured in this historic building are donated gifts from distinguished university alums. 

 

Gloria's Ceramics and Greene Gifts

Greene Academy of Art

Greene Academy became the first higher education institution located west of the Allegheny Mountains, serving over 850 students throughout its operational years until its closure in 1893. Today, the institution provides a variety of free classes in arts and crafts, such as painting and scrapbooking.

 

Greene County Historical Society & Museum

Visitors to this 52-room museum will find a diverse collection of artifacts, photographs, and exhibits that preserve and share the region's rich history by offering a glimpse into early settlements and the development of local industries.

Run by artist local Jenn Adamson, this handmade pottery provider also owns an eatery where guests can fill their bellies with from-scratch fare and handcrafted, warm or cold caffeinated beverages.

 

Riverrun Books and Prints

This seasonal independent bookstore is open Thursday through Sunday from September to May and carries a selection of over 20,000 books in the arts, sciences, and humanities genres.

The Denny House

Greene County Fair

The Greene County Fair is a beloved annual event that showcases the region's agricultural heritage with livestock exhibitions, carnival rides, and live music. With its family-friendly atmosphere, the fair brings together the community to celebrate rural traditions and local entertainment every summer.

Find more than warm drinks and pastries at RGB. The shop, whose acronym stands for Roast, Grind, Brew, recently added a stage and began hosting open mic nights. Check out their Facebook events page for info on book signings, craft classes and workshops, vendor shows, and more.
