Pittsburgh—November 22, 2019 – This month the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council announced the distribution of $69,891 in Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) Project Stream grants across the seven-county Greater Pittsburgh region. The Arts Council honored the 41 grantees during a grant ceremony on Wednesday, November 20 at the Arts Council’s Downtown Pittsburgh office.

Project Stream provides grants of up to $2,500 to eligible individuals and organizations conducting arts projects in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence and Washington counties. This year 41 individual artists, arts collectives and organizations received project funding.

“The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is proud to distribute Project Stream grants on behalf of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts,” said Mitch Swain, CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. “Project Stream supports community art projects and arts and cultural programming, which in turn increases access to the arts throughout our region.”

These annual grants are made possible through the PCA’s Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts program. To learn more about this grant program, visit PittsburghArtsCouncil.org/programs/grants.
