The Creative Hive is a monthly networking event designed to provide a friendly and casual space for artists, creatives, art educators, culture bearers, and arts administrators to establish and foster professional relationships.

Program highlights include:

  • Free and tailored to artists, creatives, art educators, culture bearers, and arts administrators.
  • No program, no agenda – just show up with a desire to network and connect.
  • Be a part of creating stronger connections and bonds, especially between disciplines and roles, to improve the breadth and strength of our sector.
  • Cocktails and mocktails will be available to purchase from TLC Libations. Free soda and finger foods will also be provided.

Venue Info: TLC Libations is a founder-owner Black woman-operated business. They are a fully functional, federally regulated distillery. They prioritize sourcing locally with nearly all ingredients, artists, and taproom products sourced in Pittsburgh or Pennsylvania.

Parking Info: Attendees are encouraged to park on the street or in the smaller lot next to the 7800 Susquehanna Street building. Signs will direct you to the entrance of the building. Please enter at ramp main entrance through the double doors. Once you enter the second set of doors, make an immediately left to the elevators. TLC is on the fourth floor.

Gloria Mwarage (she/her)

Host of The Creative Hive, July 2024 Gloria Mwarage aka GNM is a multi-instrumental, multi-genre, musician based in Pittsburgh. She earned her B.S. in Audio Production from Carnegie Mellon University, and released her first album, “Search For Home,” in December 2022. The debut EP from GLO-TREE, her ambient flute and guitar duo with classically trained flutist Trē Abalos, is anticipated to be released in July 2024.
